I thought you all might be interested to know that Found Item Clothing is selling Sam's shirt from the opening of Moon.

I've still got my fingers crossed for some apparel with the Lunar Industries logo on it, but this is pretty cool in the mean time.

io9 has the official plot synopsis for Source Code, Duncan Jones' next film.

I can't say I'm exactly blown away by the plot. But then, I suppose if I just read the plot of Moon I wouldn't be stunned either.

What do you all think?

Were you all aware that Gavin Rothery, the Concept Designer and VFX Supervisor on "Moon", has a blog?

Well, he does. And it is pretty great. And filled with all sorts of posts that are relevant to our interests.

Check it out here: http://gavinrothery.posterous.com/ if you're interested.

03:43 pm - Huzzah for the Hugo!
Dunno how many of you pay attention to the goings-on at WorldCon, but Moon just won the Hugo for Best Dramatic Presentation, Long Form from the World Science Fiction Society. *cheers* At least someone recognized brilliance in SF storytelling when they saw it!

I was thinking it would be neat to have some sort of weekly monthly sporadic discussion on this comm, so, uh, I come bearing a discussion question.

Do you think the original Sam Bell--the one living on earth, knew that he'd been cloned and his clones were manning the base on the moon? Do you think he ever even completed a three year contract on the moon? There were some great yuletide fics written about this, and I was wondering if anyone of you had any thoughts.
